Sue Mandelbaum

Sue Mandelbaum

Sue graduated in Management Sciences from UMIST (The University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology). She was a member of the senior management team of Spencer Stuart, a global executive search firm, where she successfully led many complex projects to enhance operational excellence. Prior to this Sue worked in investment banking with HSBC in London and Hong Kong and as a management consultant with Accenture.


Sue has helped organisations to manage the challenges of growth, deal with competitive and revenue pressures and enhance client service delivery.  Her work is principally focused in three areas:


  • Senior leadership effectiveness – enhancing individual effectiveness through coaching, mentoring and advising.

  • Strategy and change – identifying key challenges to growth and defining a strategic response to deliver success.

  • Client service delivery – using client insight to drive strategy, tactics, relationship management and service delivery, and improving the quality of delivery and operational performance across a range of business functions.


Recent projects include:


  • Tailored client relationship reviews for a range of professional service firms to enhance understanding of their clients’ current and emerging needs. Clients were able to use the insights to drive changes to strategy, business development, relationship management and service delivery.

  • The development of tailored approaches to marketing, business development and key account management for search firms leading to higher levels of revenue generation and financial success.

  • A performance review, across a broad range of strategic and operational parameters, leading to a set of recommendations which enabled the business to make key changes ahead of a period of significant, international growth.

  • The development and delivery of bespoke workshops on topics including, best practice client service delivery, networking and business development.


Sue has worked with a number of magic and silver circle law firms, Big 4 accountancy firms, executive search agencies and consulting firms.


Sue is also a magistrate, a school governor, an active lay leader of an overseas humanitarian charity and a trustee of First Give, a charity which seeks to engender philanthropy in the next generation through programmes run in secondary schools.
